A Smart Remote Control with extraordinary functions for bright searchlights with extraordinary features

• Remote control with joystick and built-in LCD-display
  All functions in one unit saves space on the console in the wheelhouse. The panel has a black matt and glarefree surface. The function buttons are discretely illuminated from behind but can be easily seen in total darkness. The intensity of the display light can be adjusted to a comfortable level. The joystick is robust and easy to operate. The display menu, like a mobile phone, covers all the settings of the searchlight, i.e. light switch, sweeping sector, speed, fixed positions, indicator style, and display light. Focusing is controlled by separate button controls.
• Stepless speed control
  The searchlight follows the same direction in which the joystick is moved. The more the joystick is moved the higher the speed, from very slow to high speed. When searching an object the higher speed is useful. When the object is found, fine-tuning in slow speed is used. The speed control works in all directions.
• Automatic sweeping
  For certain tasks, horizontal automatic sweeping is a very useful tool. While sailing ahead, the searchlights sweep the water by sector and at the speed set by the crew. When the joystick is gripped horizontally, the automatic function is immediately made manual. The former setting can be easily resumed. Setting of the sector and the speed is done by the joystick and the menu.
• Position indicator, graphic and digital
  When the searchlight is installed where it cannot be seen from the wheelhouse, a position indicator is a good help. When UV-light is used it is almost mandatory to have a position indicator, as the beam is invisible to the human eye. The indicator shows the exact horizontal and vertical position of the searchlight, either by moving symbols or in plain text and degrees.
• Parking position (Standard)
  When the searchlight is not in use, it is parked straight ahead, slightly tilted down to protect it as much as possible. It moves into this position automatically when the power is switched off and starts in the same position when the power is switched on. This positioning is pre-set by the plant.
• Multiple fixed positions
  Onboard some vessels there is a need for a fixed light at various stations, e.g. helideck, workstations, loading areas and the like. By using the menu you can pre-set fixed positions and easily command the searchlight to go to a certain area and remain there.
• Focusable white light (Standard)
  Lamp houses with white light have a focus function from spot to flood independently of each other. With twin white lights, one can be spot and one flood, giving good light over a huge area. The UV-light sector is pre-set by the plant.
• Anti-dazzle display light (Standard)
  In order not to disturb the twilight vision, the intensity of the display light can be adjusted to a comfortable level.
• Multiple remote control system
  Many vessels have a need for more than one remote control for each searchlight, one inside the wheelhouse, one outdoors on either wing, one on the fly bridge and so on. Our system can take up to 32 remote controls.

We have also upgraded the mechanical construction a lot although externally the searchlights look almost the same.
